This is my cute little bug. My mom got her this outfit and it makes her look so grown up. When my husband saw her in this he couldn't believe how big it made her look. They grow up too fast.
These two were so excited to find a bug on our little tree. They were playing discovery and finding all sorts of things this day. But this was their greatest find! I love spring time when everything is new and exciting.
Hi Trina! I linkd to your blog from Sally's. Just thought I would say hi. Your family is so cute. I just saw your daughter for the first time. Daughters are SO much easier than boys! It looks like you are all doing great. Best of luck to you.
Hey Trina I am now able to leave comments on your blog cause I am now trying to make my own--Just to let you know how I love the pictures and the comments that you post it is always fun to read and see them--Mom
Just a bunch of kids having fun and trying to learn something at the same time. We love where we live and the people we are coming in contact with. Our life is full of surprises and I am reminded to laugh at most of the surprises, so as to keep my sanity!
What do kids know anyway?
10/9/11 - Kid's humor is not the same as adult humor. Tonight Natalie was riding in the car with G and I. She said something a little funny and G and I just chuckled and looked at each other. Then Natalie says, "Was that a real laugh? Because sometimes you laugh and it is not a real laugh. It is like you are laughing to be nice." G and I burst out laughing. And then she says, "Now that is a real laugh. So, THAT was funny?"
11/7/10 - I have a romantic child, and this is the one that likes to chase girls. I tucked my kids in bed and gave them all a kiss on the forehead. As I walk away Evan says to me, "Mom, your lips taste like . . . fruit."
5/12/10 - We were reading about generations in the scriptures and the subject of death came up. The boys were full of questions! Then Natalie asked when I was going to die. I told her not for a really long time, maybe not until she was an old grandma! She got choked up and while trying not to cry, said "But who will be my preschool teacher?" Oh, little Natalie. I will always be your preschool teacher as long as you want.
1/31/10 - Evan will be 8 this year and we were talking about why it is important to take the sacrament every week. (For those of you who do not know Evan, he refuses to eat bread. He's not allergic, he just refuses to eat it!) I asked him what he thought he should do, hoping he would consent to try it. He then says, "Well, I guess I will just have to try really hard not to make any mistakes." And he was very serious. My dear sweet Evan, you have such simple faith. I hope you try really hard not to make any mistakes as well.
1/26/10 - While driving with Natalie she was complaining about the sun in her eyes. She asked me for her sunglasses. I told her I didn't have them and she responded, "But Mom, you are the best mom and you always give me what I want." Nothing like making you feel good at the same time making you stop and think.
It seems like all these involve Evan. I am not biased, he just says some of the craziest things. Today were going through pictures for him to take to school and he was looking for a family photo. I found one with Gabe and the kids (I was behind the camera). Evan says, "If I take this one I'll just tell them that my mom died." Glad to know he can take it so well. Where does he come up with these?
At dinner tonight Evan started asking questions about kids being adopted. I'm not sure where this stemmed from. As the conversation continued he decided that he wants to adopt a kid, a boy. But now he thinks we should have a baby and just tell him he is adopted, that what we can say we adopted a kid. I am laughing as I type this. Where does this thinking come from? (No, we are not having a baby)
Evan said, "I wish Natalie was born first" I was so touched when he then said, "so she could be our older sister." Oh! Then he adds, "so she could always try to bust us!" Yes, the tender moment flew out the window as I busted up.
Natalie and I were in the car and she said, "Eww, something stinks. Do you smell that mom?" "No, I can't smell anything" I told here. "Eww, it smells like a skunk. Oh, it's my breath, it stinks!" (Now you know who does not like to have their teeth brushed and she is reminded that it makes her breath stink)
NATALIE- "Cows are made from buffalo, and buffalo eat the trees and grass to grow cows"

I can't believe how big she's gotten either! She's going to be all grown-up by the time I finally meet her (much wailing and gnashing of teeth).
I DO LOVE the outfit, and I need to find a cutey sun hat for Dacie too!
What can I say, your kids are adorable!! I love how curious they are about everything! So sweet!
